In case you missed the initial announcement, Cursed Bet is a brand-new body cam survival horror game that will look to lean on the potholes of innocence. Cursed Bet has officially entered the chat, folks. And now, well, let’s just say there’s another reason to fear the like-minded. And it worked, just as well as Five Nights at Freddy’s, Among the Sleep, and Emily Wants to Play, for that matter. On the contrary, that wholesome concept was really just an underlying nightmare in disguise. Naturally, you’d expect such a concept to be rife with lighthearted tones and family-friendly aesthetics. The final third of the game is more cinematic-oriented and rather short.There’s something awfully disturbing about the need to exploit the authenticity of innocence for entertainment’s sake. The second third of the game is focused on stealth and puzzle-solving. You can still craft health and ammo, and you only find two upgrade parts for your pistol (none for the shotgun). The first third of the DLC is all action and shooting-oriented. There are also a couple of boss fights thrown in for good measure. It's nice to go back to these areas, but they are completely different with Rose present. You end up revisiting Dimitrescu Castle and the home of the creepy doll, as well as a small section of the village. You get to upgrade this over time through the story and can eventually slow down enemies with it and repel some. As a trade-off, you can use your anti-mold powers to interact with the environment and counter enemy attacks. You also only get two weapons in the DLC. The only difference is that Rose is slower and not as strong as Ethan. The game plays exactly like Village did when you were Ethan.
